To restore the staircase and create a smooth, consistent finish, we followed a prep-forward process designed for adhesion, durability, and clean detail work.

Staircase Painting Scope of Work:

• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, plastic, paper, and tape
• Sand, scrape, and clean all surfaces
• Apply wood filler and caulk for minor repairs on 3 spindles
• Apply 1 coat of primer and spot prime as needed
• Apply 2 coats to 14 risers and 2 stringers
• Apply 1 coat to all spindles
